Review File Material:
Our experienced Trial Investigators will travel to your office in order to discuss your case. At that time, we will conduct a thorough review of your entire legal file. After our review, we will copy all pertinent file material in order to assist us in preparing the case for Trial. A Trial Investigation strategy will then be discussed prior to our work being initiated.
Trial Preparation Outline:
- Our National Profile Search will be conducted, which encompasses Bankruptcies, Liens, Judgments, Asset/Property records, last known addresses, corporate affiliations, registered vehicles/boats, a/k/a's, etc..
- Department of Motor Vehicle Search (out of state available, if applicable)
- A Lawsuit Search will be conducted, and depending on what addresses (such as out of state) we find in the above Profile Search, the search would be expanded. If we know the Plaintiff has lived, for example, in Brooklyn his or her whole life, we will do an Archive Lawsuit Search which would entail going through the Clerk's minutes in court for any priors that wouldn't appear on a court based computer search.
- New York State and Federal Criminal Search (if applicable), and again, if we find someone lived out of state, a search would be expanded to include that state.
- Service of subpoenas on Witnesses and for Medical/Employment/CIB Records etc. to aid our case as opposed to serving all subpoenas that may not help us - we avoid helping out the Plaintiff's counsel.
- Contact IME Doctors, Witnesses and Insured (if directed to do so) for availability for testimony. We also make sure the Insurance Carrier is provided with IME Testimony Fee Invoices in advance for those physicians who require pre-payment. As you know, most will not agree to cancel patients and testify unless their check is "in hand."
